The owner (Henry hagan) started doing landscaping and lawncare as soon as he was able to hold a pair of sheers. His father Henry sr. Was and still is a very well known and respected landscape architect, Mr Henry Jr started working at a tender age of 11 with his daddy (Henry sr).. always one to ask questions, and Always the first one to try to please his father by going above and beyond with his work ethic and attention to details, Henry Sr. saw his sons potential and quickly enrolled little Henry into advanced botany and horticulture courses offered through the university of ky department of agriculture, And to everyone’s astonishment, little Henry excelled in his studies and surpassed individuals 3 to 4 times his age,… Fast forward a few years and henry junior decided to go his own way and left his father’s company And relocated to missouri where he worked as a Home improvement contractor, He started as a helper, Just doing general labor tasks, And within a couple of years moved his way up to site Foreman., He was overseeing a crew of around 8 guys at any given time. At the young age of 20 years old., Everything from simple bathroom remodels to 1,200 sq foot add-on’s and additions., He learned the trade from top to bottom, Upon returning to kentucky he began working for a local landscaping company doing irrigation, Henry sr didn’t do much irrigation. And this was a skill that little henry wanted to learn, And the only way to do so was to work for Mr. Tom Welsh, ( Whom Henry still to this day has great respect and admiration for.) Anyways, After working with Tom for about a year.
He decided to return to his father’s company, With whom he stayed. In 2019 Henry Jr and Sr combined their customer base to form “Down 2 Earth Services”. With over 65 years combined experience we are able to provide you with not only a beautiful landscape but also the tools and/or services needed to ensure it lasts for a lifetime to come
